About Michelle

After a successful career in software sales in the West End I left work full time to have my beautiful children. As they went to school, I established my own small business. This was a great step as I learned about running a company, managing the finances, and delivering great client outcomes.

Now that my children are older, I have closed my business and, with the experience I gained from running it, I have become a Director of Aretian Wealth.

I work within the Finance department and am also a specialist in Private Medical Insurance.

I am really enjoying working in London again and being part of the Aretian team.

The part of my job I enjoy the most...

I love meeting new people and helping them.

I get a real sense of achievement when I help clients choose the best private healthcare plan for them. They can have confidence that they and their loved ones are protected against the unforeseen.

When I'm not at work, you'll find me...

Meeting up with my friends. Running and going for long walks with my family. Watching my daughter play football and my son play hockey.

Nice to meet you

When you’re not at work, how do you most like to spend your time?

Meeting up with my friends. Running and going for long walks with my family. Watching my daughter play football and my son play hockey.

Aside from necessities, what could you not go a day without?

My family, coffee and a chocolate hobnob.

What makes you laugh?

Pretty much anything.

If you had to take part in Karaoke, what would be your song of choice?

I cannot sing for toffee but love a karaoke. My song choices would be Living on a Prayer, Total Eclipse of the Heart, Summer of 69, Mr Brightside and a grand finale of Don’t Look Back in Anger.

Which celebrity would you most like to meet up for a coffee / glass of wine and why?

Peter Kay for coffee. I think we would have a good old chat about current affairs. I believe he would leave me in stitches and feeling better about the world!

I would have a glass of wine with Reese Witherspoon. We would order a lovely bottle of Pinot and have a good old gossip. Plus, she would be the perfect partner in crime for the karaoke.

What’s on your bucket list?

Complete the Three Peaks Challenge; Run the London Marathon; Surf in Hawaii; Go on vineyard wine tasting tours in South Africa, Italy and South of France.

What three items would you take with you to a desert island?

Spotify, my phone, make-up.

What’s your proudest accomplishment?

Completing the Great North Run.

Have you ever met anyone famous? – story please!

Vicky Patterson.

On the last kilometre of the Great North Run, I noticed Vicky Patterson running beside me. She looked like she was struggling, so I told her that if she could deal with spiders in the jungle she could deal with this. She said, “you’re right!” I then shouted to my friend “Come on we have to beat Vicky Patterson to the finish line” We did. So I beat the Queen of the Jungle!

What is the best gift you’ve ever been given?

When I was 14, I was invited to a tea party at my cousin’s house. Once we all got there our parents told us to line up as they wanted to give us a Christmas card. Looking very confused we were told we could only open them once all the cards had been given out. When we opened the card, it was a ticket to see Take That in concert that night! That was the best present ever!
